Each January Hemphill Brothers Coach Company brings together all of their drivers to go over the past years accomplishments and to hand out awards. This year we also awarded Paul Hortop with a Rolex watch for 20 years of excellent service to our clients…keep on rolling Paul! Each January Hemphill Brothers Coach Company brings together all of their drivers to go over the past year’s accomplishments and to hand out awards. This year was another great year for our drivers with 97% clear MVR’s. We also logged 5,890,000 miles and this year Terry Ford celebrated his 20th year of driving for Hemphill Brothers. Leadership Award: DWAYNE HARPER
For displaying the ability to lead by setting a standard that others will want to follow.

Award of Excellence: TY SAUNDERS
For showing the greatest improvement in their dedication to excellence in their duties by completing and submitting all required paperwork with minimal violations.
Honorable Mention: STEVE EASTER , DWAYNE HARPER, TONY HAMMONDS, LASHAWN LUNDSTROM, EARLE SINGLETON, CURLY JONES, DANNY SHELNUT, JOHN MORGAN

Most Improved: MIKE WARBINGTON

Driver of the Year: CURLY JONES
For showing outstanding leadership, being helpful to other drivers, being a team player, keeping a positive attitude, being a safe driver and keeping their bus spotless
Honorable Mention: TONY HAMMONDS

Helping Hands Award: FRED REED
For displaying the highest willingness and greatest abilities to help other drivers with their mechanical and interior repairs while on the road.

Maintenance Achievement: MICHAEL KERSH
For setting the highest standard in preventative maintenance and equipment quality.
Honorable Mention: DALE BROCK

Rookie of the Year: BRETT PREMER
For showing that even though they have only been with Hemphill Brothers for a relatively short time, they have what it takes to someday be a driver of the year.

Each year the employees and drivers of Hemphill Brothers Coach Company collect money for a gift to show their appreciation to their employers, Trent and Joey Hemphill. This year the money was collected and was turned into two $1,200 donations to two local charities. Joey presented his check to The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee which helps grant wishes for very ill children. Trent presented his check to The Bridge Ministry which provides food, clothing and fellowship to Nashville’s homeless.

Hemphill Brothers was honored to have one of their long time clients, Diamond Rio, perform at their 29th Annual Employee Christmas Party. They played many of their hits and some Christmas classics. The employees and their families were welcomed into the Gaylord Springs Golf Club by the string quartet Silver Strings. All enjoyed a lovely buffet style dinner and the night included wonderful gifts and prizes.
