Congratulations to Hemphill Brother’s driver Dwayne Harper on being awarded Coach Driver of the Year at the 2016 Top Dog Awards in Palm Springs, CA last Saturday night.

The Top Dog Awards are bestowed upon the very best of the best in the touring community as voted on by their peers.  The Top Dog Awards Show is the most anticipated evening of the Tour Link Conference.

Way to go Dwayne!  We are honored and proud you drive for Hemphill Brothers!

Last week, Hemphill Brother’s driver, Josh Easter was awarded Coach/Truck Driver of the Year at the 2016 CMA Touring Awards in Nashville, TN.

The CMA Board of Directors created these awards to honor outstanding professional achievement within the touring industry.

2017 Drivers Meeting Recap

Congratulations to the award winners listed below.  These awards were passed out by Joey, Trent, Mark, Danny/Bruce and Stacie.

  1. The “Ron Bear Jones” Driver of the Year award went to Josh Easter, (Runner up Terry Ford) Driver Voted.
  2. The “Excellence in Coach Maintenance” Award went to Kevin Robbins (Runner up Kevin Premer)  as presented by Danny Settle and Bruce Doughty.
  3. The ”Leadership Award” went to Josh Easter, as presented by Joey Hemphill and Trent Hemphill.
  4. The “Dwayne Harper” Award of Excellence (Log Book Award) went to Andrew Morton, as presented by Stacie Allen and Most Improved went to Josh Ulbrich.
  5. The “Helping Hand” Award went to Danny Fetty, (Runner up, Jared Petit) Driver Voted.
  6. The “Rookie of the Year” went to William “Chip” Howland, (20 year Driver, but new to Hemphill) Driver Voted.

Kevin Premer was also honored for his 20 years of service, while Bill Compton and Paul Hortop were honored for 25 years of service.

2012 Driver Awards

Hemphill Brothers Coach Company held their annual driver’s meeting on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee. Drivers gathered for a morning of updates, new rules and regulations and celebration of the past year’s accomplishments, including awards of excellence. Hemphill Brothers Coach Company would like to congratulate their 2012 Driver Award Winners…

The Ron “Bear” Jones Driver of the Year Award: Calvin Lee

For showing outstanding leadership, being helpful to other drivers, being a team player, keeping a positive attitude, being a safe driver and keeping their bus spotless.

Award of Excellence: Dwayne Harper
Honorable Mention: Robb Elders, Jason Jackson, Steve “Rabbit” Easter, Lashawn Lundstrom, Kurt Fetty, Candace Lee, Steven Troy
For showing the greatest improvement in their dedication to excellence in their duties by completing and submitting all required paperwork with minimal violations.

Maintenance Achievement Award: Tim Robison
Honorable Mention: Michael Kersh
For setting the highest standard in preventative maintenance and equipment quality.

Leadership Award: Ty Saunders
For displaying the ability to lead by setting a standard that others will want to follow.

Helping Hand Award: Fred Reed
For displaying the highest willingness and greatest abilities to help other drivers with their mechanical and interior repairs while on the road.

Rookie of the Year: Glenn Dustin
For showing that even though they have only been with Hemphill Brothers for a relatively short time, they have what it takes to someday be a driver of the year

Also in 2012, Dwayne Harper celebrated 20 years with Hemphill Brothers Coach Company and was honored by the company.

On January 26, 2013 in Scottsdale, AZ Hemphill Brothers Coach Company was awarded Coach Company of the Year during Tour Link 2013 at the Top Dog Awards. Hemphill Brother’s Chairman & Treasurer, Joey Hemphill and Hemphill Brother’s Vice-President, Mark Larson were on hand to accept the prestigious honor. 2011 Parnelli Award Winner – Coach Company of the Year

For the Fourth time Hemphill Brothers has been awarded as the Coach Company of the Year during the 2011 Parnelli Awards.  This year the event was held in Orlando, FL and Joey Hemphill was on hand to accept the awards.  Way to go Hemphill Brothers!
